Ballard Spahr entered the Phoenix market in August 2006 with an office established by two of the city's leading corporate attorneys. Today, the office has more than 30 attorneys who practice in the transactional, public finance, intellectual property, litigation, employment, real estate, and environmental areas.
Our Phoenix attorneys represent clients in M&A and securities transactions; commercial bankruptcy; public finance transactions, including public-private partnerships; real estate development and leasing; and land use. Litigators handle a range of commercial disputes, including employment and environmental and natural resource matters. We have Indian law and water law practices and provide full intellectual property counseling and litigation services. The combination of on-the-ground legal talent and national resources positions our Phoenix office as a key driver of Ballard Spahr's growth in the Southwest.
Pro bono service is a hallmark of the firm, and the Phoenix attorneys devote numerous hours to pro bono cases every year. Attorneys and staff in Phoenix support a number of worthy causes, including voter rights and assistance for the homeless.
