Danielle E. Howarth has joined the Baltimore office of the law firm Ballard Spahr as an associate in the Real Estate Department.

Ms. Howarth represents developers and investors in property acquisition, financing, restructuring, leasing, and sale transactions. She is also active in the community and serves as board chair of the Community Law Center, which provides pro bono legal services to community and nonprofit organizations throughout Maryland.

Ms. Howarth’s projects include affordable and market-rate multifamily rental housing and commercial and mixed-use properties. She also has experience drafting and negotiating purchase, sale, operating, and joint venture agreements as well as ground leases and community and homeowner association documents.

Before entering law school, Ms. Howarth worked at investment management firms in Maryland and California. Ms. Howarth graduated from the Catholic University of America and the University of Maryland School of Law, where she received the William P. Cunningham Award for Exceptional Achievement and Service.
