Claire McLamore has joined the Baltimore office of the law firm Ballard Spahr as an associate in the Litigation Department. Ms. McLamore also is a member of the Complex Commercial Litigation, Construction Dispute Resolution, and Labor and Employment Groups. Ms. McLamore clerked with the Honorable Robert M. Bell, Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals for the State of Maryland, from 2009 until 2010. She also served an internship with Judge Bell, in 2008.

Ms. McLamore is a former Associate General Counsel for the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission. She served on its litigation and employment team, and represented its interests and those of its employees in state and federal district courts, state circuit and appellate courts, and administrative hearings, including workers' compensation and unemployment insurance appeals.

Ms. McLamore earned her B.A. in American Politics and African-American Studies from the University of Virginia, and her J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law. As a student attorney for the University of Maryland School of Law Clinical Office, she advocated for the rights of ex-offenders re-entering the community. Ms. McLamore is a recipient of the Order of Barristers award and a former vice-president of the Moot Court Board.
