Kurt C. Donnell has joined Ballard Spahr's Business and Finance Department as an associate in the Phoenix office. Mr. Donnell advises clients on corporate law issues, particularly mergers and acquisitions.
"Our M&A practice is growing, so Kurt joins us at a good time," said Stephen M. Savage, managing partner of Ballard Spahr's Phoenix office. "His strong background in mergers and acquisitions will help us maintain a high level of service for business clients." Mr. Donnell also focuses on SEC reporting, securities issuance, corporate governance, and real estate transactions. He is a member of Ballard Spahr's Mergers and Acquisitions/Private Equity Group.
Mr. Donnell is the third lawyer this month to join the Phoenix office, newly located in the landmark CityScape office tower. Other additions are Jeffrey D. Buchanan, of counsel, who has extensive M&A experience, and Sara V. Ransom, an associate in the Litigation Department.
Mr. Donnell comes to Ballard Spahr from Jones Day, in Columbus, Ohio. He holds a B.S. and master of accountancy from the Farmer School of Business, Miami University, and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
