Consistent with the trend of large Philadelphia law firms adding attorneys to their smaller offices across the country, Ballard Spahr announced the acquisition of a team of five lawyers to its Atlanta office.

Four of the attorneys, coming from Schiff Hardin, join Ballard Spahr as partners: Han C. Choi, Ethan H. Cohen, Byung J. Pak, and Tracy S. Plott. Isidor Kim, of Miller & Martin, joins as of counsel. They add public finance, real estate, and white-collar litigation capabilities to Ballard in Atlanta. The group, with its diverse practices, represents new development of the firm’s Atlanta office beyond its intellectual property roots.

Ballard Spahr Chair Mark Stewart noted that the office only needed a corporate practice to graduate to a full-service office. The firm sees Atlanta as a market that could warrant such growth.
