As a trial began in Northampton County (Pennsylvania) to decide whether jailed Allentown lawyer John Karoly created a fake will after his brother, attorney Peter Karoly, died in a 2006 airplane crash, testimony was offered from two of Peter Karoly’s former colleagues.
Ballard Spahr’s Evan W. Krick and Marc J. Weinstein are representing Mr. Karoly’s three sisters, who contend the 2006 will presented by John Karoly is a fake.
In testimony on November 22, attorney Mark Crossley said he does not believe the signature on the 2006 will is Peter Karoly’s because it was signed with a felt tip pen, and Karoly never used one.
