Daniel Simon, a partner in Ballard Spahr's Energy and Project Finance Group, reminded participants in the 2011 International Biomass Conference & Expo in St. Louis that the deadline to apply for funding under the Biomass Crop Assistance Program is May 27. He said it is important to apply for funding this year because there is a chance Congress won't continue to fund the program in fiscal 2012 and beyond.
"I think USDA wants to get the money out the door as quickly as possible," Mr. Simon said.
