Philadelphia's Constitution High School for American Studies graduated its first class in May 2010. It was an occasion to celebrate at Ballard Spahr, which partners with the school in several ways. Attorneys and staff at the firm mentor students, providing career advice and helping them fill out college applications. The firm offers a $2,500 scholarship to a student pursuing a career in law and even hosted the school's junior prom in the atrium of its Philadelphia office. "I tell the kids, 'I'm pushing you guys to be my boss,' and I think that one days that is going to happen," says Keith A. Garland, a senior paralegal who delivered a graduation speech.
