The Maryland State Bar Association's newest special committee has sponsored a number of educational programs in an effort to build name recognition and drive membership. Michael W. Skojec, a partner at Ballard Spahr, is the chairman of the Special Committee on Construction Law. "We needed to be more visible and more relevant to practicioners," Mr. Skojec says. "We feel like we have enough experienced construction lawyers that we should move out on our own."
