Corporate leadership decisions can be particularly thorny when two companies come together – either by merger or by acquisition. In UtahCEO's June issue, David R. Rudd, a partner in Ballard Spahr's Business and Finance Department, gives examples of deals he helped orchestrate that demonstrate methods for realigning management. Mr. Rudd tells the magazine, "Strategic buyers are more likely to replace top management after a transition period unless they can integrate them into their organizations."
