In the past few months, the government has issued thousands of pages of guidance on health care reform requirements. In proposed regulations and other publications, federal agencies have addressed topics ranging from wellness programs to new taxes and fees.
Employers will need to prepare for the implementation of many of these new rules, in particular the employer mandate (or pay-or-play rules). Beginning January 1, 2014, many employers that do not provide adequate and affordable health coverage to full-time employees will be required to pay a prescribed monetary penalty.
In this webinar, we will discuss the steps employers need to take now to determine whether and how this penalty will apply and review many of the other health care reform issues facing employers this year and next.
