More than 770 local governments across the country are required by federal law to reduce and manage overflows from combined sewer systems. These governments will need substantial capital to install the pipes and facilities necessary to comply. Green infrastructure can achieve the same results at a fraction of the cost.
At this seminar, we will review Philadelphia’s Green City, Clean Waters Program, explore what is being done elsewhere, and learn how other cities can benefit from this unique program. Philadelphia Water Department Commissioner Howard Neukrug will deliver the keynote address.
