The mortgage industry is now on notice that regulators expect the servicing industry to operate in a much different manner than before. The Multistate/National Mortgage Servicing Settlement’s Complaint and Consent Judgments filed on March 12, 2012, set forth a new framework for mortgage servicing, and it is expected that regulators will seek to impose the framework on the industry both through enforcement and through legislation and rulemaking.
As a follow-up to our webinar on March 6, 2012, in which our panel provided an overview of the anticipated Settlement, Ballard Spahr’s Mortgage Banking and Consumer Financial Services Groups are co-presenting a webinar series that will focus on aspects of the Settlement that will most affect your business.
In this five-part webinar series, Ballard Spahr attorneys will be joined by outside industry experts.
