The group represents lenders, contractors, manufacturers, and design professionals in all aspects of dispute resolution. In each situation, there is one imperative: to fully represent our client's interests and help it achieve its business objectives without protracted litigation.

Our attorneys are experienced in the full range of negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and other forms of dispute resolution, as well as in litigation in venues throughout the country.

We appear before zoning, planning, and review boards; at local hearings; and in numerous alternative dispute resolution forums. We also are experienced in federal matters, including defending against claims for failing to design and construct projects in compliance with handicapped accessibility laws such as the Fair Housing Act.

Supporting the firm's real estate, energy and project finance, and environmental practices, our attorneys evaluate and address potential issues before project development is under way. We advise clients on emerging issues that affect construction, including permitting, requirements relating to carbon dioxide emissions, opportunities created by green building techniques, and innovative market-based permitting mechanisms.

We also help clients develop specific language and certifications for construction contracts, new procedures for third-party consulting on complex accessibility requirements, and a process for evaluating compliance and corrective work for completed projects. Additionally, we help clients implement advanced technology design and construction methodologies in their construction processes, and counsel on project-specific record management systems.
