Ballard Spahr achieved two long-held goals when it acquired the intellectual property firm of Needle & Rosenberg in summer 2008: establishing a strong presence in IP law and gaining a foothold in the Southeast. Since then, the office has expanded to include members of the firm’s nationally recognized consumer financial services practice.
Our renowned patent practice offers prosecution, portfolio development, and enforcement services across a range of industries for many of today's most innovative technologies. The Atlanta office handles every aspect of trademark and copyright practice and is a full litigation resource for patent, trademark, copyright, trade dress, and trade secret disputes.
In summer 2011, litigators with extensive experience in consumer financial services law joined our our Atlanta team. Their addition coincided with the launch of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFBP) and Ballard Spahr's move to meet anticipated regulatory concerns and litigation needs in this area.
Pro bono service is a hallmark of the firm, and the Atlanta attorneys devote numerous hours to pro bono cases every year. The attorneys and staff of the Atlanta office support a number of deserving causes, including the care of orphaned and abandoned children and adoptive animals.
