The most dramatic and sustained recession to hit Nevada since the advent of legalized casino gaming has lead to sights unimaginable five years ago: abandoned casino projects littering the landscape, down gaming win, and gaming operators, burdened by unsustainable debt levels, wallowing in bankruptcy. The list of companies seeking bankruptcy protection is a veritable who's who of Nevada gaming, such as Station Casinos and Tropicana Entertainment, not to mention newcomers M Resort and Fontainbleu. ...
