Tracy A. Siebold is of counsel in the Real Estate Department and a member of the Housing, Real Estate Development, and Zoning and Land Use Groups, with a primary focus in land use and Mount Laurel Doctrine compliance and litigation. Her clients include major commercial and residential developers, trade organizations, and landowners throughout New Jersey in connection with real estate litigation, zoning and land use litigation, and affordable housing compliance and litigation.

In addition to her legal experience, Ms. Siebold has 18 years of service in the U.S. Air Force, both active and Reserve. She currently holds the rank of Major.

Ms. Siebold manages litigation on behalf of developers, including challenging denials and development restrictions in major land-use litigation matters, as well as contractual disputes, insurance coverage, construction, landlord/tenant, and collection matters. She manages all phases of the litigation process, including preparing initial pleadings and engaging in all aspects of discovery. This includes taking and defending depositions, drafting motions and briefs, and appearing before the New Jersey Superior Trial, Appellate, and Supreme Courts, and the U.S. District Court. Ms. Siebold has also appeared before the New Jersey Council On Affordable Housing (COAH) on behalf of developers of low- and moderate-income housing.

Representative Matters

  • Successfully defended the challenge of a land-use development agreement, saving the client millions in additional development fees
  • Received favorable trial verdict resulting in the award of treble damages and attorney fees under the Consumer Fraud Act

Pro Bono Experience

  • Obtained land-use approvals to subdivide land donated to a local family featured on ABC’s "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," and drafted the deed and other legal documents for the family's new home
  • Made successful application before COAH on compliance requirements for Habitat for Humanity
  • Made application for Planning Board approvals/lease for ECO School
