Paul W. Scott is a partner in the Business and Finance Department and a member of theĀ Investment Management, Energy and Project Finance, Mergers and Acquisitions/Private Equity, Securities, and P3/Infrastructure Groups. Mr. Scott represents public and private companies, private equity funds, and sponsors in a diverse set of transactions, including securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, and other complex commercial transactions. He represents investment companies and advisers regarding fund governance and the organization and registration of mutual funds, and has extensive experience representing investment advisers and investment companies in merger and acquisition transactions.

Mr. Scott is experienced in representing education finance companies in a variety of securities matters, including structured finance transactions, and also advises clients that manage and distribute Section 529 college savings plans on securities and tax laws, program structuring, and preparation of disclosure documents.

Mr. Scott is head of the Denver office's recruiting committee.

Pro Bono Experience

Mr. Scott serves as a special advocate for children involved in domestic abuse cases for the Rocky Mountain Children's Law Center and participates in the National Veterans Legal Services Project.
