Alan S. Petlak is of counsel in the Litigation Department and a member of the Commercial Real Estate Recovery, Securities Litigation, Consumer Financial Services, Commercial Litigation, and Mortgage Banking Groups. He focuses on real estate and commercial counseling and litigation and has experience with workouts of real estate loans. Mr. Petlak also has experience in mortgage banking litigation and often represents lenders in matters concerning the Fair Credit Reporting Act, title issues, and the foreclosure of real property.

Mr. Petlak has handled litigation matters from intake through trial in disputes involving, among other things, mixed-use facilities, office buildings (both inside and outside of California), manufacturing facilities, shopping centers, and hotels. He also counsels clients before and in avoidance of the onset of litigation.

In addition, Mr. Petlak represents clients in securities-related class action lawsuits under the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act, in arbitrations before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and in connection with regulatory matters brought by the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Pro Bono Experience
