Jason A. Leckerman is Chair of the firm's Litigation Department. He focuses on antitrust and competition, product liability, and commercial litigation and regularly counsels clients on antitrust compliance and risk. In addition, he assists private and public companies in analyzing potential mergers and acquisitions, and in obtaining clearance under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act.

At Ballard Spahr, Jason is a member of the Senior Leadership Team, Partner-in-Charge of the litigation mentoring program in the Philadelphia office, and is Partner-in-Charge of the United Way Campaign.

Professional Highlights

Pro Bono Experience

Jason maintains an active pro bono practice. He spends considerable time representing asylum applicants and supervising junior lawyers in asylum proceedings, and leads the asylum practice group in Philadelphia. He has represented clients pro bono in many other areas, and has focused on expanding the protections of property owners facing civil forfeiture claims. Jason also participated in advising the committee responsible for creating the Ethics Commission of the City of Philadelphia.
