Thomas A. Hauser is a partner in the Business and Finance Department and co-partner-in-charge of the Real Estate Finance Group. He is also a member of the Housing, Real Estate Development, Real Estate Leasing, REITs, and Transactional Finance Groups and the Distressed Real Estate Initiative, as well as the Financial Institutions Reform Task Force. Mr. Hauser has a general finance, real estate, and business transactions practice, which includes the representation of all sources of capital, including banks, insurance companies, private equity providers, pension funds and investment institutions, and borrowers in secured and unsecured financial transactions.

Mr. Hauser has experience in drafting, negotiating, and closing complex real estate and other asset-backed transactions, including sale-leaseback and synthetic lease transactions, participating/convertible debt, and mezzanine and bridge financing. Mr. Hauser represents developers and joint ventures in the acquisition and development of real estate, as well as both financial institutions and borrowers in loan work-outs and insolvency proceedings.

In addition to his finance practice, Mr. Hauser's work includes representing start-up and existing business entities. He has experience in general corporate governance matters, contract drafting and negotiation, and venture capital and private equity investments.
