Glenn A. Harris is a partner in the Litigation Department, and a member of the Environment and Natural Resources Group, Product Liability and Mass Tort Group, and Insurance Group. Mr. Harris concentrates his practice in environmental litigation, with an emphasis on Superfund cost recovery and contribution actions.

Mr. Harris has assumed a lead role in many significant Superfund matters, where he has served as common counsel, shared counsel, or liaison counsel. He has represented groups and individual companies in over three dozen Superfund sites in over a dozen states. Mr. Harris has successfully litigated four contribution/cost recovery actions on behalf of plaintiff groups. He also has significant experience in mediating environmental and commercial disputes. For seven years, he has been on the roster of mediators approved by the New Jersey Administrative Office of the Courts and routinely mediates civil actions by direct referral from Superior Court judges and as part of the Supreme Court's Program for Presumptive Mediation.

Mr. Harris has extensive experience in insurance litigation, including coverage actions to determine environmental clean-up responsibilities, as well as general litigation concerning the insurer/broker/insured relationship. He has represented clients in general commercial litigation.

Representative Matters

  • Tried a Superfund contribution action against two nonsettlers, obtaining a significant judgment for his client group
  • Represents clients in litigation concerning natural resource damages claims, underground storage tanks, groundwater contamination, wetlands, environmental representations in purchase agreements and other contracts, and NPDES industrial and stormwater discharge permits
  • Represented clients in litigation involving and advised on mold, asbestos, and indoor air quality
  • Handles compliance with New Jersey's Industrial Site Remediation Act
