Carl H. Fridy is a partner in the Business and Finance Department, Practice Leader of the Transactional Finance Group, and a member of the CCRC Financing and Workout Group; Bankruptcy, Reorganization and Capital Recovery Group; Public Finance Department; and Commercial Real Estate Recovery Group.

Mr. Fridy has extensive experience in secured and unsecured commercial lending, real estate and construction finance, letter-of-credit-backed and other tax-exempt bond financings, and the workout and restructuring of troubled loans. His principal clients are commercial banks, but he is also experienced in representing corporate clients in sophisticated financing transactions.

Representative Matters

  • Represented the lead bank in the $70 million syndicated letter-of-credit-enhanced tax-exempt bond financing for a large regional continuing care community
  • Represented the agent bank in the $75 million syndicated financing of a national real estate investment trust's portfolio of unencumbered real estate assets
  • Represented a Major League Baseball franchise in connection with the financing of a new stadium, involving revolving credit and construction loans, and separate securitizations of various revenue streams
  • Represented the agent bank in the $55 million syndicated secured revolving credit and term loan facilities in connection with an overseas acquisition by a major chemical company
