Morton P. Fisher, Jr., is senior counsel in the Real Estate Department and the former Managing Partner of the firm's Baltimore office. He is a member of the Construction, Real Estate Development, Real Estate Financing, Real Estate Leasing, Insurance, and Government Relations, Regulatory Affairs and Contracting Groups.

In more than 40 years of practice, Mr. Fisher has been involved in every type of real estate transaction, representing developers, lending institutions, department stores, and other big-box users and tenants.

Pro Bono Experience

Mr. Fisher advises such groups as Community Housing Assistance, Inc., an agency of the Associated Jewish Charities engaged in senior housing, and the University of Maryland (Baltimore) Foundation in its oversight of development.

Mr. Fisher has written numerous articles appearing in various real estate publications, including The Journal of the Section of Real Property, Probate and Trust Law, Probate & Property, and The Practical Real Estate Lawyer. He is the co-author of A Practical Guide to Commercial Real Estate Transactions: From Contract to Closing (ABA Publishing).

Speaking Engagements

Mr. Fisher was a frequent lecturer on real estate matters for the American Law Institute-American Bar Association, Practising Law Institute, and the ICSC University of Shopping Centers and the ICSC Law Conference.

Community Activities

Mr. Fisher has served in a number of leadership positions in his community, including the Mayor's Advisory Council for the Downtown, the Baltimore County Economic Development Commission, and the Greater Baltimore Committee Economic Development Committee.

Board Memberships

Mr. Fisher serves on numerous nonprofit boards, including the University of Maryland (Baltimore) Foundation, where he also chairs the Campus and Community Enterprise Committee, and the SEED School of Maryland. He is also a board member of the Baltimore Downtown Partnership.
