W. Michael Clowdus is a partner in the Real Estate Department, Practice Leader of the Resort and Hotel Group, and a member of the Planned Communities and Condominiums Group and Real Estate Development Group. He concentrates his practice in resort development.
Mr. Clowdus has represented developers in the design, documentation, registration, financing (both debt and equity), construction, and marketing and sales of more than 30 high-end fractional projects at major resorts throughout the Rocky Mountain West and in Mexico. He is currently advising clients on the structure, registration, and operation of private equity and nonequity membership clubs and mixed-use condominium hotel projects, and is involved in base-area redevelopment projects at ski areas throughout the region. He regularly advises clients on securities laws issues involved in the marketing and sales of various resort and hospitality products.
