Jamie B. Bischoff is a partner in the Intellectual Property and Litigation Departments, partner-in-charge of the Trademarks and Copyrights Groups, and a member of the Intellectual Property Litigation, Franchise and Distribution, Life Sciences/Technology, and Higher Education Groups. Ms. Bischoff's intellectual property practice focuses on trademark, copyright, trade secret, advertising, Internet, unfair competition, patent licensing, and infringement issues.
Ms. Bischoff has 27 years of experience representing creators and users of intellectual property in a wide array of industries and enterprises, including pharmaceutical manufacturers, hospitals, universities, software developers, advertising agencies, investment companies, and publishers, as well as individual authors, scientists, photographers, and artists.
Before attending law school, Ms. Bischoff worked as an editor at Charles Scribner's Sons in New York City and at the University of Michigan Graduate School of Business in Ann Arbor, and ran a bookstore in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Her interest in language, communication, and the spoken word has persisted throughout her career, and she relishes the opportunity to take legal concepts from theory to reality in her clients' businesses.
