Barbara R. Beckman is counsel in the Public Finance Department and a member of the Health Care, CCRC Financing and Workout, and Higher Education Groups. She has acted as bond counsel, underwriter's counsel, borrower's counsel, and counsel to banks providing credit enhancement in tax-exempt and taxable financings in over 20 states for retirement communities and other long-term health care facilities, colleges and universities, industrial development projects, pollution control projects, housing projects, and traditional municipal projects.
Ms. Beckman has experience with a wide range of financing structures, including traditional fixed-rate, variable-rate, and multimodal structures involving various forms of credit enhancement and liquidity support.
Pro Bono Experience
Ms. Beckman has represented abused and neglected children in Philadelphia through the Support Center for Child Advocates.
