Ballard Spahr entered the Las Vegas market in 2006 by merging with a highly regarded native firm of five attorneys, including the former chair of the Nevada Gaming Commission. The office has doubled in size since then, offering sought-after counsel in real estate, litigation, business transactions, gaming, and government relations.
The real estate practice focuses on institutional lenders, special servicers, investors, and developers with financing, restructuring and workout, and zoning needs. Litigation spans all manner of commercial and business tort disputes, including consumer financial defense, white collar defense, and government and corporate investigations and compliance. Our attorneys also handle securities, M&A, and other business transactions, and our gaming and licensing practice focuses on licensing, investigations, disciplinary proceedings, and regulatory compliance issues.
Pro bono service is a hallmark of the firm, and the Las Vegas attorneys contribute numerous hours to pro bono cases every year. Attorneys and staff support many deserving causes, including the Andre Agassi Boys and Girls Club and nonprofits that assist the homeless and underprivileged. The office is located in premier office space within Nevada's first "green" certified corporate center.
