The mortgage industry is now on notice that regulators expect the servicing industry to operate in a much different manner than before. The Multistate/National Mortgage Servicing Settlement's Complaint and Consent Judgments, filed on March 12, 2012, set forth a new framework for mortgage servicing, and it is expected that regulators will seek to impose the framework on the industry both through enforcement and through legislation and rulemaking.

In the final installments of our webinar series, Ballard Spahr's Mortgage Banking and Consumer Financial Services Groups will address oversight and liability issues with third-party vendor management, as well as monitoring and reporting issues and the continuing evolution of servicing standards.

We will be joined by Ravi Ramanathan, President and CEO of DecisionReady, a provider of policy and process compliance solutions for default servicing. Mr. Ramanathan will discuss his platform, how it relates to the Settlement, and what life is like as a third-party service provider in the wake of the Settlement and OCC/Fed look back.
