The Summer Associate Program is our primary source for filling first-year associate positions at Ballard Spahr. That's because the program provides the ideal training ground for a career at the firm. Summer associates at Ballard Spahr receive substantive, on-the-job training. They conduct legal research, prepare legal memoranda and correspondence, and actively participate in client conferences, corporate and financial closings, court appearances, negotiations, and depositions. The goal is to give participants the skills and experience needed to be a successful associate. Summer associates work side by side with our attorneys and attend departmental and practice group meetings throughout the summer.
